The two questions ask the same thing.

It’s good that you mention the validity & reliability of the test, but which type of validity & reliability are you going to use?

Scope and Limitation
This research is limited in teaching using Exploration, Explanation and Expression method in [] graders grammar classes. This research also only explains the implementation of the method in teaching perfect tenses.

Sampling
The researcher will use non-probability sampling; purposive sampling, IX-8 of SMPN 2 Sidoarjo consists of 35 students. IX-8 will be chosen as the experimental group due to the low mean in the listening test and the control group will be IX-4 due to the highest mean in the listening test.
Experimental & control groups should have equal ability & the means of their scores should not be significantly different. If one has a low mean and the other has a higher mean, you have to draw another sample.

What’s the purpose of asking question no 1?
How are you going to measure the relationship between the implementation of X and the improvement of Y? To measure the relationship, you must have two sets of scores.

  1. There is difference of students’ listening strategy between the students with high and low listening comprehension before the use of cooperative listening among tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Porong.
  2. There is relationship between the implementation of cooperative listening and listening comprehension improvement of tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Porong.
  3. Students show a positive respond toward the implementation of cooperative listening to improve tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Porong.

The plural form of ‘hypothesis’ is ‘hypotheses’.
Only question no 1 & 2 need a hypothesis.

This definition is too general, please specify what kind of teaching technique it is.

Research design
It’s stated your research is descriptive quantitative, i.e. correlational study. However, you also wrote that:
This study consists of three phases including the pre-test, treatment and post-test.
This is the characteristic of an experimental design.

3.4.1.1   Validity
Because the test is objctive. The validity will be measured by using Kuder Richardson 21 formula.
3.4.1.2   Reliability
To measure the reliability, researcher will use split – half formula.
Both KR21 and split-half are used to measure the reliability of the test. To estimate the validity of test, you can use content, criterion-related or construct validity.

Data analysis
The test will be analyzed statistically by computing the Pearson product moment.
This formula is used in correlation. How are you going to analyze the results of the pretest and the posttest?
